This series is a dialogue of intention and unintention. The pieces were left to the side or below other works in progress, to pick up a field of unexpected marks. Accidents have a sort of freshness that's hard to replicate, and I enjoy using them as a starting point, and working them into the fabric of the painting. The paintings were mostly made on large sheets of rice paper, then mounted to stretched canvas.
